Vow Renewal

Vow Renewal

A vow renewal is a ceremony where a married couple reaffirms their marriage vows to each other. This isn’t a legally binding ceremony, the way that a wedding ceremony is, so there really aren’t any rules about how to renew your vows—I encourage your imagination for ideas!

Frequently Asked Questions

The location of your ceremony can influence every aspect of your special day. You can choose your backyard, a park, a restaurant or even a destination that has sentimental value for both of you.

Your location can also influence how many guests you invite! Will this be a big party or an intimate occasion?

Having a wedding party is not necessary, but you might like to invite your original bridesmaids and groomsmen for sentimental reasons.

I enjoy watching couples enter the ceremony space together, supporting each other as they have over the years of their marriage. However, your children and grandchildren can be involved with your exciting entrance.

Others may like to be involved by performing a reading or signing your commemorative Certificate.

Since this isn’t a legally binding event, there’s no order of service to follow. I like to include a story about your married life – including the all the fun stuff about how you met, your first date and interesting events along the way.
